Cultures at QCC: Taiwan

Above you see a few of the grand works from Taiwan that have recently graced the QCC Art Gallery.

Though the exhibit has past, it is not likely to be the last, as many fine works from Formosa have appeared at the QCC Art Gallery in recent years.

Of course, if you're the impatient sort, then enjoy the video highlights from Rewoven below.

Art & Design @ QCC

The side entrance to the Art & Design Building shown in the distance.
Congratulations to the Art & Design Department at QCC-CUNY, as it has just received accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). QCC-CUNY is one of only 19 community colleges in the nation as well as the only art program in the CUNY system to receive this prestigious accreditation.

So, if you're interested in an elite art program that is also affordable, consider attending QCC, and perhaps some of your art will be exhibited at the QCC Art Gallery like the works shown below.

QCC Art Film Fest: Asnin's Uncle Charlie

Marc Asnin's Uncle Charlie presented a stark and evocative exploration of one man's descent and a family's attempt to cope. What made this even more deeply personal? Asnin was documenting the experience of his own family.

This forthright and brave work served as the traveling exhibit for the QCC Art Gallery until it rounded off its tour with a return home. How appropriate.

Enjoy the short videography below.
