Objects on display will include dramatic examples of wood-carved sculptures essential to rituals, both commemorative and religious, that are integral in preserving and reinforcing the tradition and culture of the Cameroonian people.

Mr. Njoya, himself the scion of a distinguished family of artisans and courtly advisors, chose the word "power" in the title to evoke the emotive and spiritual significance of the objects in the collection.
Visit the QCC Art Gallery between January 30 and March 10. View the exhibit yourself, and see if you don't agree with Amadou Njoya's estimation.
