Objects on display will include dramatic examples of wood-carved sculptures essential to rituals, both commemorative and religious, that are integral in preserving and reinforcing the tradition and culture of the Cameroonian people.

Mr. Njoya, himself the scion of a distinguished family of artisans and courtly advisors, chose the word "power" in the title to evoke the emotive and spiritual significance of the objects in the collection.
