Amadou Njoya, artist, curator and dear friend of the QCC Art Gallery |
It has been a difficult year for the
QCC Art Gallery, as it has now lost
yet another close friend and collaborator,
Amadou Njoya. He will be remembered for his generosity and good humor, as he was unfailingly joyful and humble, yet equally dedicated to sharing the wonders of his Cameroonian culture with all who may be interested.
Not long ago, Amadou curated
Powerful Arts of Cameroon at the
QCC Art Gallery. It included traditional and contemporary objects representing the soul of his beloved Cameroon. Many objects in that visual feast were used during rituals evoking the power of native spirits. May they watch over our friend and speed him on his way to a better world.

Ever enthusiastic to share his expertise, Amadou engages a visitor to his opening at the QCC AG. |
