Charlie the Snakeman at QCC

Deadly Cassava Snake that is common in Liberia.

Armed with a degree in Anthropology from Yale, Charles D. Miller III(a.k.a Charlie the Snakeman), is an American from suburban Long Island who fell in love with West Africa many years ago when he first visited the region at the tender age of 16 years.

Since that time, he has returned regularly in varying capacities, from Peace Corps volunteer to private tourist. And yes, he has dabbled in collecting some highly venomous creatures from the region, like the deadly Cassava snake at left. But Mr. Miller's principal enthusiasms are for the people and their culture.

See his exhibit at the QCC Art Gallery, which chronicles his African experiences via his photographic art.
