Pure, refreshing, life-giving or life-threatening, water is an essential part of the human experience. Without it, we die. Indeed, our very bodies are largely an agglomeration of water spiced with an array of other elements. It fuels us, and rules us. And beyond its vital nature, it symbolizes many things including life itself. Is it any wonder that it so often appears in the art of many cultures?
