Believe it or not, some faculty and students who currently wander the premises of QCC-CUNY don't even know where the QCC Art Gallery is located.

Even fewer know it is housed in the oldest, but most beautifully renovated, building on campus.

And even fewer know that the building, Oakland Building, once served as the clubhouse for an internationally known golf club.

At the right, you see the great Harry Vardon about to put at the Oakland Lake Golf Club, with the Oakland Building (QCC Art Gallery) in the background.

Harry is the only man ever to win the British Open six times.
