Free as a Bird

Is there any more cherished aspiration of youth than to fly like a bird, effortlessly gliding wherever the wind would dictate? Well, perhaps that is why the bird motif is so common in art of many genres and cultures. Certainly wings, flight and birds have not been under-represented in QCC Art Gallery exhibits, as the sample below makes plain.
