Many of you are already aware that
a major exhibit of Cameroonian Art is scheduled to appear on the QCC scene by month's end, but additionally there will be a splendid, if smaller, exhibit running concurrently at the QCC Art Gallery, which will feature works by a noted Malian master,
Victor Forestier Sow.
The works are often vibrant depictions of daily life, owing as much to the burgeoning influence of Western social realism in the post-imperial era, as they do to traditional African forms and abstraction.
The exhibit will run from January 30 until March 10, 2014. Stop by early and often. See you there!
