Rosemarie Koczy, whose art has been featured by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, as well as many prominent museums throughout Europe, survived the Holocaust. She also suffered from depression, was occasionally hospitalized, and had limited use of her hands due to repetitive motion trauma. Yet throughout her long career she produced many works,
200 of which are coming to the QCC Art Gallery on September 26.
Perhaps her greatest creation was her life in art. Her gravestone reads:
''I weave you a shroud...of love.''
