Who's the most influential artist of the previous century? The answer that most would supply is Picasso.Well, guess who had a retrospective of his prints on display at the QCC Art Gallery just a few years ago? The answer again, Picasso!
Throughout his life, Picasso was involved with learning new techniques from master printers. And his work reflected his intimate relationship with them, as they guided him through the nuances of each method.
BTW, having just returned from another display of such work by Picasso and other modern masters in Bruges, I'm excited by the rumor that the QCC Art Gallery may have the privilege of hosting a similar event soon.
