Jorge Quijano Ahijado's Interfaces-Identidades
Jorge Quijano Ahijado's portraits, some of which appeared at the QCC Art Gallery in 2008, evoke a non-naturalistic environment. He deliberately uses images and visions derived from memory, projecting them on to canvas, with varying forms, lines, and color. His aesthetic arises out of awareness that our increasingly technological world makes it more difficult to grasp the passion and spirit of truthful representation.
Watch and listen on Tigermedia as the artist explains the motivation for and meaning of his work.
