Tradition at the QCC Art Gallery
At left, you see a couple of rare photos of the interior of the QCC Art Gallery (c. 1925) from that bygone era when it still served as the clubhouse for an elite golf club.
Of course, times have changed and so has the Oakland Building, which was extensively renovated earlier in this millennium, keeping in mind the traditional architectural style of the original edifice.
It is in this sense that the QCC Art Gallery is both the youngest and oldest building on campus, earliest to be constructed but most recently to be renovated.
As if the fantastic art exhibits were not enough, one more reason to visit the Gallery is to relish the classic lines of its architecture and be transported back to an age of style and elegance.
Here's hoping you find time for a visit soon.
